MEChA and Nazis
OK, I'm going to keep piggybacking on Sharkansky here. He has another really good post on the similarities between the MEChA platform and the Nazi platform. For anyone who doesn't know, MEChA is a "Chicano pride" organization that California Lt. Gov. Bustamante used to belong to. The group is seperatist and pretty racist to boot. Stefan illustrates their racism:

Twenty-Five Points:
4. None but members of the nation may be citizens of the State. None but those of German blood, whatever their creed, may be members of the nation. No Jew, therefore, may be a member of the nation

El Plan Espiritual:
Por La Raza todo. Fuera de La Raza nada

What I find more interesting is their socialism. How many generations are going to make these mistakes? When will someone pick up a history book and say "Geez, I guess they are already tried this. And it ended in disaster. Maybe that's not a good idea." I'm not going to steal all of Stefan's hard work, but here is one example:

Twenty-Five Points:
13. We demand nationalisation of all businesses which have been up to the present formed into companies (Trusts).
14. We demand that the profits from wholesale trade shall be shared out.

El Plan Espiritual:
Cultural background and values which ignore materialism and embrace humanism will contribute to the act of cooperative buying and the distribution of resources and production
